We had a great Halloween this year. Last weekend we decorated pumpkins, Ryan carved a KC Chiefs arrowhead into his and Elsie painted hers, both turned out great! Elsie had a Halloween Party at preschool on Monday so she got all dressed up in her costume to go and have fun with her friends. Elsie was Cinderella and Owen dressed up as a monkey. A monkey is very fitting for Owen, that kid is ALL OVER THE PLACE! And of course Elsie makes a beautiful princess.
After Elsie's preschool party she came home and it was naps for everyone. After naps, Ryan came home early and we all headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Cox's house for some early trick-or-treating. Elsie had told us many times that she wanted to go to "lots of houses and get lots of candy!" She came home with her bucket so full that we had to empty it before real trick or treating started.
After dinner, we went over to Ms. Rose's house, she used to watch Elsie and takes care of Owen the days that I work. She loved seeing them all dressed up and had special treats for them. Next, we went to see our dear neighbors Ernie and Marcella, then dropped Owen off at home to hang out with daddy while mommy and Elsie went all around the neighborhood. Elsie refused to come home until her bucket was full again. We trick-or-treated for about 40 minutes, got LOTS of candy, then called it a night. It was a great time.
