Celebrating Fall

Phew, hard to believe it's November already.  We've been busy enjoying the nicer weather and fall festivities.   Everything is great in our neck of the woods.

Owen is on the go.  This child wiggles and moves more than anyone I've seen, it's really amazing.  He moved a lot in the womb, but now he just does not stop.  It has especially made bath time an adventure as he can crawl out of his small tub and putting him in the large one with Elsie means he is all over the place, you really have to keep an eye on him.  He has mastered crawling and can go from room to room quickly.  This means if you're not in the same room with him, he'll come track you down.  He's also learned to navigate the two steps between our living room and entry and our dining room/kitchen area.  He still goes head first, but has learned to put his hands out to soften the blow.  Owen is also pulling up and "cruising".   Elsie walked right at 8 months (really early).  Owen will be 8 months next week, he's not quite there yet, has quite a bit more weight on him than Elsie did.  He already weighs more now than Elsie did at a year.  Owen loves to eat, doesn't matter which fruit or veggie is being served.

Elsie is doing great too.  She loves to dance and talk and is always on the move.  Last night we had a dance party and all she wanted was for Ryan and I to spin her in circles.  I get horrible motion sickness, but gave it a shot.  Ryan tolerates dizzyness better, but Elsie wore us both out, Ryan and I both had to sit out a few songs to recover.  Elsie's vocabulary is growing every day, she says things that boggle my mind.  You can see her learning and discovering new things each day, it's such a special treat to watch her grow.  She's getting better with the potty training, definately knows what it's all about and will do it fairly regularly, but still will only do it on HER terms.  We're not pushing the issue, yet.  At preschool she does much better, peer pressure I presume.

PS - several other blog postings today so keep scrolling down.  :)
