This afternoon we had a small family gathering and had Elsie baptized at Prince of Peace Catholic Church here in Olathe. She was great during the ceremony, couldn't have asked for better. There were 6 other little ones being baptized today so there was quite a crowd present. The priest annointed her with chrism oil on her forehead which smelled like a cross between the holiday season and cloves. Even after her bath this evening the smell was still there...we can't stop sniffing her.
After the ceremony, we came back to the house and had a late BBQ lunch and after a nap Elsie showed off some of the new skills she's been mastering since she last saw all of her grandparents, Great Aunt Marilyn, Aunt Becky, and Uncle Vince.
After everyone left Elsie and mom were both worn out from the busy day and took a 2 hour nap together.
