4th of July

For Elsie's first 4th of July we went back to Boonville, the place where her Daddy has spent many a 4th celebrating America by blowing things up! Instead of fighting the crowds to watch the big shows in the city, we decided on a D.I.Y. fireworks show...and Elsie was EXCITED!!! She may have also been excited because we were staying with Grandma and Grandpa Casanova for two nights. This was our first two night trip away from home with Elsie and she did great.

We arrived on Friday and Grandma and Grandpa immediately started playing with Elsie.

On Saturday night we had lots of friends and family over to light off and watch fireworks. Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Donnie were there, as were our friends Aaron and Katrina, Aaron and Amber (who are expecting a boy in Oct) and Aaron's parents. Unfortunately, we didn't get many pictures of our own because we were pretty busy and there were already half a dozen people taking pictures of Elsie!

Here's one of Elsie and Katrina.

Elsie LOVED the fireworks! We kept her up a little after dark so she could see them. Her favorites were the fountains and sparklers. Her eyes lit up SO BIG when she saw them. She just watched and smiled and watched some more. Then it was time for her to go to bed, which was good because she was absolutely worn out.

Good morning, Elsie!

We had a great time seeing everyone!

Happy 4th!
Ryan, Sarah, and Elsie
