Wednesday Elsie had her follow-up doctor appointment to do her two week weight check. She had gained 8 oz in a week! The doctor said .5 to 1 ounce per day is normal, so apparently she enjoys eating, just like mom I suppose. She's starting to fill out a bit more and is getting a bit chubbier, a double chin made an appearance this week. Very cute.
Last night Elsie slept in her crib all night by herself and I was able to sleep in my normal bed! We'd been struggling with this since we brought her home, hopefully it's a sign of good things to come. She woke up twice to feed, but went right back to sleep when I put her back down in her crib. I am/was very thankful.
Tomorrow is Elsie's first trip out of the house to somewhere other than the doctor's office! We're going to Grandma and Grandpa Cox's house for Grandma Cox's birthday. Should be a fun trip, we'll see how much stuff we have to pack in order to be away from home for a few hours!
