When we last left off, Sarah had just left for a two week work trip to Paris. Her trip went great! For me it was a busy two weeks trying to keep up with the kids, chores, and work but we made it fine. We missed Sarah a lot though and were all excited for her to get home.
| Coke or Pepsi? Movie and taco night was one way we passed the time. |
| A camp out in the basement was another... |
| We even went out for breakfast. |
| and of course the kids played with their friends a lot. |
| Mommy is back and she brought presents! Lots of little French delicacies and a beret for Elsie. |
| Owen got an Eiffel Tower model. |
| Since Sarah wasn't too jet lagged we went to the pumpkin patch the next morning. It was fun as always! |
| We didn't get to go last year because it flooded. |
| Owen's class built a city to help learn about urban development. They had downtown, suburbs, and rural areas. We saw it when we were at the school for parent-teacher conferences. |
| The kids had a couple of days off for parent-teacher conferences so they got to go to Boonville for a few days. |
| ...and play in the leaves! |
| They also went to a pumpkin patch |
| On Saturday, I joined them. We went to Midway to play mini-golf and ride go-karts. |
| Of course I took my bike too. Gotta get at least one fall ride on the Katy Trail! |
| Sunday morning I rode down to the river and happened to see a barge. It was really neat being out on the old train bridge while a barge went under. |
| Fall also means fire pits.. |
| ...and pumpkin decorating. This is Elsie and Sarah's creation. |
| After a few rain outs, Owen finally had his last baseball game. |
| What a fun season! |
| For Halloween, Owen went as Marshmallow (the dj) and Elsie was a donut. |
| My pumpkin! |
| LOOK AT ALL THAT CANDY! We had to empty Owen's bag halfway through the neighborhood. |
| Owen made these containers so he could sort all his candy |
| In Scouting news, the den meetings have been going well. We learned about flag etiquette at our last meeting. |
| Elsie was a pirate for her school music program. |
| We had front row reserved seating! I won it at the Mustang March Silent Auction last spring. |
| Did somebody say "Popcorn?" Owen sold $850 worth of popcorn! |
| Last weekend the Scouts helped out as the color guard at the Spring Hill Veteran's Day Ceremony. |
| Sarah turned the big 4-O last week. The kids and I snuck up to Garmin and decorated her desk. |
| Tuesday night we celebrated... |
| Sarah didn't give me many ideas. She just said "get me something nice." So I got us a family vacation to the Florida Keys in February! Needless to say, she was VERY surprised! |
| Last but not least, Owen brought this home from school yesterday. The class each got giant sheets of paper and classmates and their teacher wrote nice things about them. Owen got lots of compliments. Two or three said "You are a math wizard!" :) |
See ya!
Ryan, Sarah, Elsie and Owen
