School is back in session and both kids are doing great! They both really like school (even though they will tell you that they don't). The weather is cooling off and fall activities are in full swing! Sarah left yesterday for a two week long work trip to France! We already miss her!

| First day of school. Can't believe 2nd and 4th grade! |
| Owen LOVES his teacher Ms. Schenk! She was Elsie's 2nd Grade Teacher and we all really like her. Owen has been doing GREAT in school so far. He finished his 2nd Grade Super Six Math Workbook so Ms. Schenk gave him the 3rd grade one! |
| Owen's classroom doesn't have any "regular" chairs. They have wiggle chairs, a couch, stools, and all sorts of stuff. It's kind of neat. Almost like a modern day, progressive office setting. :) |
| Elsie is loving school so far too. Her teacher, Mrs. Evans, is really nice and Elsie says she really likes her. |
| FOOTBALL STARTED TOO! GO CHIEFS!!! |
One of our neighbors gave us a big trampoline! The kids had been asking for one and it just worked out. Our back yard is even more popular now! |
| Last evening at the pool... |
| Elsie got September Music Student of the Month! |
| She was thrilled! |
| Owen and Elsie both started playing Fall Ball. Elsie is on the same team that she played with last summer. Owen is on a different team with some of the same kids. The Mudcats were Spring Hill Rec League, but they didn't do a fall league, so one of the Dad's from that team asked us if we wanted to join The Canes, an Olathe Rec League team. We got sweet uniforms and Owen chose George Brett's number! |

| The first game was HOT HOT HOT but since then it's been pretty pleasant out there. Owen's hitting streak ended at 24 for 24 (dating back to last June). |
| BUT in his 3rd game he hit 2 triples and a homerun! |
| Elsie took this one... |
| Scoring a run! |
| We've been busy running back and forth between games. On this day, we went straight from Owen's game to Elsie's game. Elsie only has one game left. Owen has 4 or 5 more. |
| In Scouting news...it is popcorn selling time! Owen was super-motivated to sell this year. He went around to family members and all over our neighborhood selling. Great work, Owen! |
| Flossing while you sell! |
| Working the booth at Price Chopper |
| Guess who decided to be a Den Leader? We've only had one Den Meeting so far and I've only got 5 kids, so it's not too bad. Our Den meets at Prairie Creek so that is convenient. I've learned A LOT since I volunteered. Hopefully I can live up to expectations! |
| Yesterday we marched in the Spring Hill Fall Festival Parade! Our pack has grown SO much. It was cool to see the Scouts out in force! |
| We got a Den Flag too! That's Gannon, one of Owen's classmates. He's in our den too, and he LOVED flying that flag during the parade! |
| Collecting candy afterwards! |
We wish Mommy a great trip in France! We miss you and love you!
Ryan, Elsie and Owen.
