Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

All of the signs are there.  Christmas is just around the corner!

The Garmin Children's Holiday Party, where we get to see Santa, was a couple of weeks ago.

It snowed A LOT the Sunday after Thanksgiving.  It's felt like winter ever since.

We had blizzard warnings.  It was so windy that the kids had to use our ski goggles to play outside.

Thanksgiving break had one extra day because Monday was a snow day!

Later that week, Elsie competed in a Spelling Bee.  She and her friend Grace won their 4th grade class and got to compete against the 20 winners from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.  Elsie did great!  She made it to the 5th round by spelling "game, oink, invent, and borrowed,"  She missed "champion" and ended 8th out of 20.  

Elsie got a really nice medal.  We were SO proud of her!

Owen had his 2nd Grade Music Program.  They all dressed in Christmas jammies and wore antlers.

In Scouts we learned about being part of a community and how the military protects us.  One of the Dad's is in the Army and he brought in some cool gear!

My Den performed some community service, collecting donations at Price Chopper for the Spring Hill Food Pantry.  In 3 hours we collected 5 big boxes of food and almost $300 in cash!  The boys did great!

Last week at the December Pack Meeting, we partied and got our popcorn prizes.  Santa was there to hand out pinewood derby cars too.

We also wrote "thank you" letters to service men and women

This morning Owen and I worked on his "duty to God" Wolf Scout requirement.

And it wouldn't feel like Christmas without our old buddy Alex the Elf, who showed up on December 1st.

Mischievous as always...

Christmas is only 9 days away.  The kids are excited and can't wait for the big day!
