The kids were both off from preschool for spring break this week. Sarah and I took a few days off too so we could get caught up on some springtime chores...and to watch the NCAA Basketball Tournament. The kids each took separate trips to Boonville and each spent a few days at Grandma and Grandpa Cox's house too so they both got lots of one on one attention. But before all of that we took the kids to their first Sporting KC game last Saturday. I won 4 tickets in a drawing at work and the seats were really good. Midfield, row 14.

| Soccer Hooligans! |
| The stadium is pretty amazing. It's state of the art and holds about 12,000 rowdy fans. Think of it like a classier, smaller version of Arrowhead. |
| Up way past bedtime, running on cotton candy and lemonade |
| We got to see a goal. The place went nuts! ...but it ended in a tie. Right before time expired the other team scored a goal. :( We had a lot of fun though and I'm sure we will go back. |
| On Sunday I took Elsie down to Boonville so she could spend 3 days with Grandma and Grandpa Cas. Time to watch some deer! |
| The weather was cold on Sunday, so Elsie stayed in and played. Here she was playing "Rummage Sale" and everything was free! |
| Riding bikes at the park with Grandma, Aunt Marilyn and her dog Hermione. |
| The weather was nice a couple of the days, which meant a trip to Harley Park. |
| Wednesday it was Owen's turn. I met Grandma, Aunt Marilyn, and Elsie in Odessa and swapped out Owen for Elsie. Now it was time for Owen to watch some deer! |
| Owen loves trains so going down by the river was a lot of fun for him. |
| He also really enjoys throwing rocks into the river, but who doesn't? |
| Owen spent his fair share of time at the park too. |
| Grandma was amazed at how well he could ride his new bike. |
| Watching cartoons with Grandpa |
| Friday, Elsie and I built a rock garden so her rock collection would have a place to live. Now when she or Owen bring home unique rocks they will have a place to put them. |
| Saturday after Grandma and Aunt Marilyn brought Owen home we went up to the Grass Pad and bought about 40 bags of play sand for the sandbox. My back will be feeling it tomorrow. It's too wet for the kids to play in, and too cold, but sometime in the near future they are going to get after it! |
| While the kids were gone Sarah and I (mostly Sarah) built her a garden. |
Elsie took her camera to Boonville so while I was getting her pics off it, I went ahead and saved off a bunch of other pictures that were on it. Here they are...
| She put this together all by herself. 100 pieces! |
| Elsie's beloved pink Christmas Tree |
| Just a small part of her bead collection |
| A great one of Grandma Cas, Aunt Marilyn, and Hermione |
| And a very adorable little finger over the lens. Cute! |
We had a great spring break. Got lots of stuff done around the house and the kids had all sorts of fun. Grandpa Cox took both kids fishing and Elsie caught two crappie with her little princess fishing rod! Owen didn't have as good of luck but he sure had fun anyway.
See ya,
Ryan, Sarah, Elsie, and Owen
