Spring Is Here!

A couple weeks ago Grandma and Grandpa Casanova and Aunt Marilyn came up for a visit and for my birthday.  They surprised Elsie and Owen by picking them up at preschool.  Both kids were SO excited, but I think Grandma Cas topped them!  We went out to dinner on Friday night and then on Saturday we went to the Deanna Rose Farmstead.

Goats will eat anything!

I came down with strep throat for the 2nd time this year (and the 2nd time of my life) and was sick on my birthday.  About 5 days later both kids got sent home from preschool with fevers and guess what?  They had strep throat too.  So last week Sarah and I split half days staying home and watching them.  Neither of them seemed to be in much pain, but Elsie definitely got off better than Owen.  She was pretty much her normal self, while he battled a fever much of the day on Tuesday.  On Wednesday she went back to preschool and by Thursday everyone was back to normal.  

Home sick with fevers on Tues cuddled up watching a movie.

You know something is wrong with Owen when he lays down and goes to sleep all by himself at 10AM.

On Wednesday Owen and I played "Fireman Dinosaurs."

 Last weekend it was finally warm enough and dry enough at the same time to get outside and enjoy the weather.  Elsie begged and begged to get the water table out.  Who was I to say "no"?  I've said it before and I'll say it again...best 20 bucks I ever spent!
