Royals Game

We took Elsie to her first Royals game today!  Grandma and Grandpa Cox gave us the tickets for my birthday which is coming up this week.  Wish Owen could have gone too, but he's still a bit too little and he just cannot sit still.  :)  Elsie had a really good time and especially loved walking around the stadium and checking things out.  We started off with hot dogs and lemonade, then cotton candy, then a giant pretzel, and finally some popcorn.  The day was windy, but the temperature was perfect.  And as if spending a beautiful spring day outside wasn't good enough, the Royals won in walk-off fashion on a single that drove in the winning run!

As we finished our hot dogs in the middle of the 1st inning, Elsie says, "I'm hungry!  I want some cotton candy!"

One of the games in the outfield is a fun run where you can race  against the times of  some of the Royals players.  Elsie didn't care much about that but she DID want to run!
Look at her go!
As we made our way around the stadium we checked out the different vantage points.    This is right in front of the fountains in the outfield.
Upper deck.  Elsie was AMAZED by how high we were.

A bit windy
Elsie took this one.

I mentioned in the last blog that is was time to break out the sandbox.  The kids absolutely LOVE it and will play in it by themselves as long as we let them.  AND so far this year, Owen hasn't eaten any sand!  What a big boy!  :)

Our new house has pretty much been on hold because of the weather.  They did push dirt up against the foundation so we can walk up close to it, but as you can see it's literally a pond.
The look on Elsie's face says it all. :)

We had lots of fun throwing rocks into "the pond."
Elsie put on her bunny ears and approached our backyard bunny.   I think it thought  she was a real bunny because she was able to get REALLY close.

Owen got his hair cut really short.  It's a little more boyish and it's really easy to  comb.
Elsie made this "hotel" last night, and I had to take a picture because it is an exact replica of Chimney Rock in  NE. :)

See ya!
Ryan, Sarah, Elsie, and Owen
