Ups and Downs

Hi Everyone,

Believe it or not, the kids are sick...again!  Elsie and Owen both have nasty summer colds complete with fever.  We just can't seem to catch a break!  It's too bad too because Elsie and I had big plans for this evening.  Chick-Fil-A sponsors a Father Daughter Date Night complete with valet parking and roses.  We were going to go but it's not looking so good right now.  :(

UPDATE #1: Elsie and I did go to the Father Daughter Date Night and we had a pretty good time.  I think Elsie was still not feeling the best because she didn't eat much, not even dessert!  After dinner we went outside and got our pictures taken.  We also attempted to play in the play area but Elsie just wasn't feeling it.  I promised her that I'd take her out again when she was feeling better and she said that sounded good.

UPDATE #2: Owen had a REALLY rough night last night.  His breathing was really tight and it seemed like he was working so hard to breath.  His crying was more like a loud whisper and he woke up a lot of times during the night.  By 7AM Mommy had had enough and took him to the ER where they said he had croup.  They gave him a steriod to help him along until his antibiotics kicked in.  He seems a lot more energetic than he was yesterday, but he's still pretty tuckered out.  He took a 2hr nap after they got back and is in the middle of another long one right now.  Poor little fella...
This week wasn't all bad.  Elsie got to go to the Zoo on Tuesday with Grandma and Grandpa Cox, and we visited the Ernie Miller Nature Park on the other side of Olathe for the first time.  Also, the weather was nice all week so we got to play outside lots after work. 


I DECLARE THIS TO BE THE BEST DIRT EVER!
