Pumpkins!

It's finally Fall.  The leaves are changing and the weather has been absolutely beautiful so we have been spending lots of time outdoors lately.

It's not as bad as it looks.  :)

I ran in the Jared Coones Memorial Pumpkin Run today.  It was my first 5k!  This has been a goal of mine for some time now so I've been working up to it over the summer.  When I started jogging I could only go for a few minutes at a time, but today I jogged for about 31 minutes straight.  The course went all around our neighborhood and passed by our house, so Mommy, Elsie, Owen and a few neighbors came out to cheer me and the other 3000 runners on.  Elsie was SO excited when she saw me!  It gave me a much needed boost for the last mile!  :)

After the Pumpkin Run we decided to go pumpkin hunting at the Powell Pumpkin Patch about 10mi south of Olathe.  It was hot and dusty but we had fun.  Owen wasn't really sure what was going on but he was happy to be outside. :)

As Elsie says, "Daddy Pumpkin, Mommy Pumpkin, Elsie Pumpkin, and Owen Pumpkin"  :)

Here's to a wonderful family, beautiful weather, colorful leaves...and of course, pumpkins!
