A Week of Firsts

Hi Everyone,

This week was a week of firsts for everyone.  On Friday night Sarah went to Lawrence to spend time with some friends.  She spent the night, so it was my first night being alone with Elsie and Owen.  They both took it pretty easy on me, though Owen did get up extra early on Saturday.

Extra special pork chops w/ mac 'n' cheese for Elsie, and carrots for Owen.

Saturday, Mommy came home and we all got decked out in our Mizzou gear for their first game.



Elsie got to release some butterflys which Mommy had purchased as catapillars a few weeks ago.  She "set them free so they could go play with their friends."  (her words)




Mommy also had the bright idea to get some water balloons, which we threw at each other after the game.

On Sunday, all of the grandparents, Aunt Marilyn, Aunt Becky and Uncle Vince came over for Owen's Baptism.  We had a great time and Owen and Elsie both did REALLY well at the church.

The weather was gorgeous on Sunday so we played in the yard after naptime.  Owen loved rolling around on the blanket and he was fascinated by grass! 

 

 

Monday, we got up and went to the park.  The weather was great again and we got to try out our kite.  Elsie was so excited!  Unfortunately, the kite (or the gusty wind) didn't live up to our expectations.
