Visit from Grandparents and Snow!

On Saturday Grandma and Grandpa Casanova came up to see us. Grandma's Birthday was last week so we took her out for lunch and then came home to play and open presents. Elsie was excited to see them and couldn't wait to share all of the new things she's learned to say since she last saw Grandma and Grandpa a few weeks ago on Thanksgiving. A couple of recent favorites include, "It's me, Elsie!" "Trixie's under the tree!" and "I found the pickle!" in reference to the pickle ornament on our Christmas tree.

Right after Grandma and Grandpa left it started snowing and blowing. It was REALLY cold and windy and continued snowing through most of the night (didn't stop me from grilling our dinner though) and by morning we had a nice snow drift on our back patio. This is the first snow Elsie has seen this year and she couldn't wait to go out and play in it!
