Almost Christmas!

Christmas is almost here!  In fact, yesterday we kicked off our official Christmas activities with the Cox Family Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  There is so much excitement in the air AND to make it even better, it snowed last night!

The night before Christmas at the Cox's, Owen couldn't contain his excitement.  He asked, "How many hours until we open presents?"  So cute.

5 seconds after we walked in...  :)

Baby Fiona got to join us too.  It was her first big venture out of the house since she came home from the hospital.  She laid quietly most of the time, but got excited when she got a few presents to play with.

After lunch we couldn't contain the kids any longer.  It was present time!

Sarah made this little kitchen for Maddie.  It turned out great!  Maddie liked it too!

Elsie asked for basically two things for Christmas.  Arts and Craft stuff, and a remodel of her bedroom.  She got a lot of arts and craft stuff yesterday.

Owen had been asking for a rock tumbler, so of course he was happy!

Maddie got the biggest present of them all.  A big plastic slide!

Last night we tried out the rock tumbler.  It came with some rocks, but we mixed in some that Owen collected in Colorado and our last trip to Branson.  We'll see how they look in about 4 weeks!

Did I mention that Alex has been getting excited?  He's been up to all sorts of stuff.

The whole month of December has been a pretty good one.  As usual, lots going on at school and life in general.
Owen likes to do spikey hair sometimes for school.  Wish I could do that. :)

Elsie can fly!

Millie got a bone.  This came from my yummy dinner on date night.

Owen makes a funny looking elf.  Love that face!

Elsie got P.E. Student of the Month!

Owen had a Pack meeting

He got his prize for popcorn sales.  He chose the "mystery prize" and it turned out to be a marshmallow blow dart gun.  Pretty sweet!

Santa came and handed out pinewood derby kits.

Grandma and Grandma Cox came over to make cookies.

...and Owen tested out his new toy.  It worked pretty good.  He got a bullseye!

It snowed last night for the first time in what seems like forever.  The kids were up and outside by 7:30AM in their jammies.  They played outside all morning...
...and they even shoveled the driveway for me.

Millie loves snow too!

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
