Halloween

Halloween for us started with Trunk-or-Treat on Friday night up at the school.  Sarah helped organize the event, so it was my job to get the kids home from school and into their costumes.  Owen's costume was easy peasy, but Elsie's required makeup, which was a first for me. Owen went as a Ghostbuster and Elsie was a Skeleton Witch.  SCARY!
I think I did pretty good on the makeup!

Elsie left her hat in the truck because it was REALLY windy.

Glad we got there early.  Sarah said they went through at least 20,000 pieces of candy!

The winning trunk was Jurassic Park themed.

On Halloween night Elsie decided to just be a witch.

Who ya gonna call?

These are the kids from our cul de sac plus a few extras.  I think "Jake from State Farm" in the red shirt (and khakis) wins my vote for most creative.  Owen got lots of kudos on his Ghostbusters costume too.  Mostly from people my age. :)
This picture doesn't begin to tell how chaotic it was in our neighborhood.  Picture about 200 houses each with 2 or 3 kids all going trick or treating at the same time. It was SO much fun!  The kids had a great Halloween and got a TON of candy!

In related news, we had a pumpkin decorating contest at work.  This was my entry.  I drew it all by hand.

I'm kind of into maps...  :)

We didn't get very many entries, but here they are.
Wilson, Doh! Nut (from the Simpsons), and mine all won.  We all got a free lunch!
