Branson Vacation
A few weeks ago we took a short vacation in Branson. The kids were out of school on Thursday and Friday because of parent-teacher meetings, so we took the opportunity to get out of town for a few days. We drove down on Thursday morning and arrived at the condo around 2PM. We had just enough time to unpack before going to Silver Dollar City. If you go after 3PM you can get in the next day using the same ticket. The weather was sketchy. It was chilly and drizzly, but we decided that we would do the cave and hope for better weather on Friday. As it turns out, the weather couldn't have been better. Thursday and Friday there were no crowds and very short lines (if any) for all the rides.

| Look at these two hooligans! |
| Here we are descending into the cave |
| After the cave we rode Fire in the Hole at least 4 times because there was no line. |
| Friday we rode A LOT of rides. |
| This is one of our favorites...Thunderation. The kids could both ride it, so we rode it at least 5 or 6 times! |
| Enjoying root beer floats during the Saloon Show |
| Typical! |
| Grandfather's Mansion |
| We spent almost the whole day at SDC. The crowds were so small, it was hard to leave because you know that it will probably never be like that again. |
| On Saturday we hit the strip! They've built a gigantic ferris wheel since the last time we visited. It should be noted, as we were driving into town, the lines to get into SDC on Saturday were MILES long! |
| Next thing on the list was go karts! Owen was about a half inch too short to ride the bigger ones, but he did really good on these. |
| Elsie got to ride the bigger ones. She did great! |
| We saw the Titanic museum (no pictures allowed), did some shopping, and then swung by the fish hatchery on our way back to the condo. |
| We were pretty worn out so we went to a nearby restaurant for dinner. We sat on the deck and had a nice view of the lake. |
| The rec room at our condo had some fun games... |
| Our souvenir from the Titanic Museum....a little model that Owen and I put together. He is pretty proud of it. :) |
Trip to Boonville
Last weekend we went down to Boonville for our first visit in a long time. Every fall we try to go to the pumpkin patch and have a bonfire and weenie roast, so this was the weekend. It couldn't have been nicer!
| We're here! |
| Saturday morning Grandpa Cas, the kids, and I all went for a bike ride on the Katy Trail. It was GORGEOUS! |
| We rode all the way out to the I-70 overpass. I even got a semi to honk at us. :) |
| After lunch it was time for the pumpkin patch! |
| Domination! |
| In the evening it was time for the bonfire...and a game of washers. |
| Party on! |
Millie's Birthday
| Millie turned 2 years old earlier in October. Here are a few pics from her birthday party. |
| This didn't stay on long |
| This toy lasted approximately 10 minutes. :) |
| Doggy Ice Cream |
A few more random pics...
| Owen and I went out for frozen yogurt a few weeks ago. I think he got more toppings than yogurt! |
| Ready for Halloween |
| School for the kids has been going really well too. Elsie's class made a city. Her group was in charge of the suburbs. |
| Owen made a neat ghost! |
October has been a fun month. We are excited about Halloween tomorrow!
See ya,
Ryan, Sarah, Elsie, and Owen
