This year Father's Day was a little different. It started out with me getting up early to go meet my parents and pick up Millie in Odessa. She'd been staying with Grandma and Grandpa Cas for the last week while we were on vacation in San Diego.
| When Millie and I got back home, this was waiting for me. How cute! |
| After lunch I got to open cards and presents. These cards are absolutely adorable! The one on the left is from Elsie and the other two are from Owen. He made them at preschool. |
| This card from Elsie actually contained the first clue to a scavenger hunt! She had designed it all by herself. |
| It took me upstairs to the bed, then out to my truck, then to Millie's bowl... |
| ...and then to her crate. It ended in our closet where I found a box with a friendship bracelet, necklace, and a Home Depot gift card. What fun! |
We didn't do much special but that's how I wanted it. All I wanted to do was hang out at home after being gone all week. I watched the Royals game, had Jimmy John's for lunch and steak for dinner, and got to spend the day with my family. I am a lucky guy!
