Busy Busy

We have been really busy lately.  We put our house on the market a few weeks ago and had lots of showings (which is a good problem to have).  This week we had a few 2nd showings and on Thursday we received two offers!  Both were better than we expected, and we decided to accept the one that we thought was best.  They were also flexible with the closing date which we wanted to push back as far as possible because our new house won't be done until mid-July.  We ended up with a closing date in early June, which is WAY better than we were expecting.  That will really minimize the amount of time we are in between homes and that is a great thing.  It also means we get to spend one last spring in our current home and we don't have to rush to get packed and moved.

Last week was Owen's last at daycare with Rose.  She's taken care of both of our kids and has been truly wonderful, but there was an opening at Elsie's preschool and he is old enough to start, so we couldn't pass it up.  He officially starts preschool (with Elsie) on Monday.  What a big boy!

Also last week, Elsie was out of preschool for spring break, so on Monday I drove her down to Boonville to spend the week with Grandma and Grandpa Cas.  As you can imagine, everyone involved had lots of fun.  Elsie got to spend lots of quality time with the grandparents while Sarah and I got to spend the week with Owen all to ourselves.  I drove down to pick her up yesterday.  We had a fun drive back because we took the country way which is hilly and curvy which Elsie and I both love.  :)

Here are some pics...

Digging started on our new house about 2 weeks ago and they already have the foundation walls poured.  There is a gigantic dirt pile behind the house that the kids like to play on when we go "visit our dirt."
From the top of the dirt pile looking down: This is after the footings were poured and before they did the basement walls.
The foundation walls went in this week.  The garage is on the right and the front door will be on the left.  Note the giant dirt pile.

Elsie and I shortly after summiting.  :)

With a little help Owen made it up too so he could join in the fun.

Grandma Cox and Mommy made it up too.

Yesterday, right before the snow started.  Note the flags in the background.  We have neighbors!

It started snowing about 2PM yesterday and stopped 24hrs later after we got about 8 inches.  Hopefully it melts before Easter!
What good little helpers!

Here are a few pics from Elsie's last dance class a few weeks ago.  This was the only session that parents were invited to.  Unfortunately, the camera battery died after only a few pictures...but, I think we are going to continue doing the classes because she REALLY loves them.

Also a couple of weeks ago, Elsie and I were listening to some music and I was doing air guitar and she had no idea what I was doing.  So, I broke out the Guitar Hero guitar and showed her how it was done.  Sadly there were no pictures of me, but we did get one of Elsie rocking out.  :)

See ya,
Ryan, Sarah, Elsie, and Owen
