Last weekend as absolutely beautiful. The weather was warm, but not too warm, so we got to spend a lot of time outside doing things. Saturday morning was the big easter egg hunt that Garmin puts on every year. It's really neat, they fill up the whole yard with plastic Easter eggs and there are hundres of people there. Elsie was excited about getting some eggs and Owen picked it up pretty quick too. Though as you can see below, he gets distracted pretty easily. This time it was by a dandilion. :)
And they're off!
Owen and I just hung back and picked up the eggs that everyone else left behind.
Elsie and Mommy were a little more aggressive.
Both kiddos cleaned up! Elsie won a certificate for a big prize that ended up being giant bunny rabbit.
After naptime on Saturday the temprature was in the mid 80's so we decided to break out the dearly beloved water table. Owen never really got to play in it last summer so Elsie was excited to show him how it worked. Owen decided he wanted to play in the sandbox first. He really likes it, but you have to keep a close eye on him because he'll try to sneak mouthfulls of sand if you aren't careful. :)
What is this "water table" that you speak of?
Sunday morning after some errands, we went up to the park and took our kite along. This is a different kite than the one we tried to fly (and failed at) a few months ago. This one actually flew great!
After naptime on Sunday it was outdoors once again for sandbox, swinging, and playing at the water table. It was just a really good weekend to be outside and hanging out in our back yard. Also, Owen has started taking only an afternoon nap so he will have a lot more time to do fun things in the mornings with us. That will make things like going to the park as a family much easier. Fun times!
See ya,
Ryan, Sarah, Elsie, and Owen
