Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful mothers we know and love.

We had a fantastic Mother's Day weekend. The weather was beautiful and we spent a lot of time outdoors enjoying the sunshine and playing in the yard.

Elsie and Owen (with some help from daddy) really outdid themselves this year. Elsie and Owen got me a new watering can for my small garden. I needed a new one after Elsie claimed my last one as her own and played with it so much that it no longer holds water. We currently have 4 tomato plants and 2 pepper plants and Elsie LOVES to help me water them every day.

Ryan got me a beautiful silver necklace that has "Elsie" and "Owen" stamped on it and I LOVE it (click on the picture to enlarge it so you can see the detail). It was handmade by Sylvia C. - a local artist who makes all kinds of hand stamped jewelry, her shop is at http://www.etsy.com/shop/sylviac if you're in the mood for some online shopping.

After spending the morning at home, we headed to my parent's house for lunch and a with them and my sister Becky and brother-in-law Vince. We had a nice visit and Elsie and Owen kept everyone entertained.

Friday afternoon Elsie, Owen, and I met up with my parents and we headed to DeAnna Rose Farmstead for the day. The weather was perfect and Elsie had a great time visiting with all of the animals.

We had a wonderful weekend - so nice to spend it with my family. I'm the luckiest mom in the world and blessed to be surrounded by so much love.
