Easter

First, an Owen update. His sight has come in a lot over the last week or two and he's much more alert then he has been. He's also smiled a few times! Here is a great picture that Sarah got Easter morning as well as the only smile we've been fast enough to capture on camera.


Our Easter weekend started with a trip to Boonville on Saturday. We went down so Sarah could go to our good friend Katrina's baby shower. Elsie, Owen, and I went to Grandma and Grandpa Casanova's house and hung out for the better part of the day. We had some friends in town that hadn't gotten to meet Owen yet so they stopped by along with Auntie Marilyn.

We also had the first of what would turn out to be three Easter Egg Hunts.

We headed back to KC in the afternoon. Grandma and Grandpa Casanova were coming up on Easter Sunday and we were all going over to Grandma and Grandpa Cox's house for Easter lunch.

Easter Egg Hung #2 happened inside our house right after we got up on Sunday. In addition to the candy, Elsie and Owen got socks inside of their eggs. :)

Then it was time to get dressed for Easter. Elsie LOVED her dress and wouldn't stop twirling around showing it off. She loved it so much in fact that she left her hair up all day long!

All day long Elsie had been talking about how the Easter Bunny was hiding and too scared to come out, and right before her bath time we looked outside and right there in the middle of the yard was the Easter Bunny himself! Elsie was SOOO excited that she got to see him and she had to call both sets of Grandparents and tell them all about it! :)
