Elsie's first Christmas was special in so many ways. For starters, we got about 12" of snow! On Christmas Eve night we had blizzard conditions with heavy snow and winds around 40mph.
Testing out Elsie's new boots.
The snow was lighter on Christmas day but it continued. In fact, it snowed throughout the next day too! The drifts on our patio were about 2ft tall. But more important than the snow, Christmas this year was special because Elsie (who narrowly missed Christmas last year) got to celebrate it for the first time. So on Christmas morning we got up and opened presents together as a family for what will hopefully be the first of many times to come.
New stocking cap.
Grandma and Grandpa Cox braved the weather and came over around lunchtime to celebrate with us.
On the 26th we were off to Boonville to celebrate Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Casanova's house. They didn't get as much snow as we did, but it was still enough for a second round of sledding!

Later, Great Aunt Marilyn and Great Uncle Donnie came out and it was time to open presents again! Elsie had quite a pile!
After lunch it was time to head back to KC. We still have one more Christmas left, at Grandma and Grandpa Cox's house, and then it will be time for Elsie's birthday party next weekend! When we got home, Mommy and Elsie built a huge castle with the new Mega Blocks that Elsie got for Christmas.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
