Time to get MESSY!

This afternoon I thought we should do something a little different so I broke out the watermelon and prepared myself for a sticky mess. I stripped Elsie down to her diaper and sat her in her bumbo in the middle of the kitchen floor. I then filled her mesh feeder with small pieces of watermelon and she loved it! The mesh feeder has a handle attached to a little mesh bag that you put food in and then Elsie can knaw on it and the food comes through the holes and she can't choke on it. In addition to this, I cut up some very small pieces for her to play with. She's not really interested in putting small pieces of food in her mouth yet, she'd much rather see how it feels when she squishes it between her fingers. :)

About half an hour later, we had watermelon juice everywhere... so much in fact that I opted to give Elsie a quick wash in the kitchen sink.

Afterwards it was time to get dressed. Now that Elsie is crawling she is much more difficult to dress. While you're unfolding the diaper, she's halfway across the room looking for the next toy to play with (In this case, that toy was Trixie's bed) . It's hard not to laugh when you see that tiny little bare bottom running away from you. :)
