We all know that Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer and this weekend Elsie did a lot to get prepared for her first summer. The weather has finally warmed up enough that we can now break out all of Elsie's cute summer clothes, which is good timing because she's nearly outgrown all of the long-sleeved outfits! Mommy also bought Elsie her first swimming pool too. We can't wait to use it!
Memorial Day weekend started with a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Casanova and Auntie Marilyn on Saturday. They were all very excited to see Elsie...and she was excited to see them. She had lots of smiles saved up just for them.
Showing Grandpa Casanova how well she can sit up.
Too excited to sit still for a pictuere. Elsie moved so fast in her exersaucer that she blurred herself.
We went out for lunch at Red Robin for some tasty burgers and Elsie was a doll as usual. After that we went shopping for a few more summer outfits at the mall. Grandma Cas and Auntie Marilyn had a wonderful time shopping for Elsie.
On Sunday, Elsie felt like sitting up and she did great! She sat unassisted for over 20 seconds before crumpling. We sat on the floor and played with stacks of toy cups for quite a while yesterday. I would stack them, and Elsie would knock them down. Fun!!!

Today we are just hanging out and enjoying the last day of our vacation. Elsie is showing her American pride. :)
Happy Memorial Day!
Ryan, Sarah, and Elsie
