Summer is here! School ended last Thursday and all the familiar signs of summer are here. It's hot, the pools are open, baseball and softball are in full swing, and it's Memorial Day. Starting with Field Day at School a couple of weeks ago, it's been one fun thing after another to kick the summer off right!

| Last Saturday was Garmin night at the Royals Game... |
| It was also George Brett "Pine Tar Incident? Bobblehead night! |
| Before the game there were a lot of former players on the field. George Brett (he's on the far right next to Frank White). Also Jermaine Dye, Willie Wilson, Mike Sweeney, and Carlos Beltran. |
| We were playing the Yankees which happens to be Owen's 2nd favorite team (he really likes Aaron Judge). This is what he looked like after Aaron Judge struck out looking in the 1st. ;) |
| Of course we couldn't stay in our seats for more than a few innings... |
| We walked around to the outfield so Owen could see his hero (that's Judge right over his shoulder). |
| He is a big dude. |
The next day was Garmin Day at Worlds of Fun. (we had a great chauffeur) |
| Owen asked if he could try to win a basketball. He had to make 1 of 2 shots and he did. There were MU, KU, and KSU balls to choose from and look what he chose. I told him I wouldn't carry it for him. :) |
| He was happy before, but he was REALLY HAPPY after he won a squid hat! |
| Elsie got to ride her favorite ride, the Bamboozler! |
The 3rd Grade Awards Ceremony happened last week too. Elsie won an award for "Most Organized." WAY TO GO ELSIE! |
| Owen's Baseball Coaches got everyone on the team one of these neat window stickers. Owen and Elsie both played games last week and they both played really good. |
| Owen made a scroll in class that went up to almost 2000! |
| Friday morning the kids and I went out for breakfast and then picked up some new swim gear for the season. Our neighborhood pools opened on Friday |
The forecast was for a HOT weekend, so our goal was to hit the pool 4 times in 4 days over the long weekend. I am happy to say "Mission Accomplished!" |
Sunday, our family helped the Cub Scouts pick up trash and put out flags at the Spring Hill Cemetery. It looked really nice when we were all done. |
| HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY! |
This week, Elsie has Girls Scout Camp and Owen starts Y-Camp. The following week both kids are going to Camp Invention, which should be a lot of fun.
See ya,
Ryan, Sarah, Elsie, and Owen
