Fall Stuff!

Fall is by far my favorite season, but it goes by SO fast!  Here's a bunch of pictures that cover everything from October and the first few days of November.
Owen's Den meetings are in full swing.  At this one they went outside on a nature walk around the school. They found neat things like a frog, a toad, grasshoppers, etc.

Fall ball ended for Elsie with a weekend tournament.  I think we had 5 games in two days.  Elsie's team finished 3rd, which was really neat.  Her coach played music between innings, and you can see Elsie and Maxine gettin' down!  They also won the award for most "spooktackular" uniforms.  Those are the ghosts from pacman...

Owen lost 4 teeth in 9 days!  We started calling him the human jack-o-lantern.  :)

We also went to Branson for a long weekend and stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Cox's new condo.  We did Silver Dollar City on Thursday and Friday, then hit the strip and riverfront on Saturday.

Owen going "big boy" style.

Elsie and Owen won a basketball by making 2 baskets!

Grandma and Grandpa Cox were there too and got to do Silver Dollar City with us.

Later that night at the condo, Elsie showed us that she really can shoot the ball and it wasn't a fluke at the park earlier. :)
The next day called for mini-golf, go karts, and visiting Branson Landing.

The track we did (in the background) was called "Heavy Metal"

Branson Landing is pretty neat.  It's right on Lake Taneycomo

They had a zip line thing that pulled you backwards up across the river to the top of the bluff, and then it let you go!  We got to go twice.  It was really fun!

Of course a trip to Branson wouldn't be complete without a visit to the fish hatchery.  It's always fun to feed the fish!

We did a little shopping at Branson Landing.  Owen got his first wallet!  He was so proud of it.  He put it in his back pocket and marched around like a big boy. :)

Sarah and Elsie went to her end of year softball party and Owen and I had a man night.  We threw the football and he helped me make burger patties and even helped grill them.  Tastes better when you cook it yourself!

Owen got October Student of the Month.  He was SO PROUD of himself...as were we.

Trunk or Treat happened the Friday night before Halloween.  It was a good chance to try out the kids costumes and get some pics.

The Vampire and The Taco.  Elsie wanted to be a "taco" so bad, and Mommy did SUCH a great job making it.

Halloween was on a Tuesday, so we called it Taco Tuesday. :)

Raawww!!!

Sarah ran trunk again this year, so I was in charge of the kiddos.

Later that weekend, Owen had a Pack Meeting.  It was outside and chilly...

...but it was worth it because the boys got their Bobcat Badges!
And they also got to have a powwow dance

All the new Bobcats with the face paint to prove it!

Yuck!

Me and Owen's pumpkin is on the left.  Elsie wanted a "poop" emoji and...isn't Mommy talented!

Finally, it was Halloween.  Sarah was in charge of Owen's class party.  I was there to help too.  The kids had lots of fun!

And then it was FINALLY time to trick or treat!  The kids got so much candy.  I don't know what they'll ever do with it...actually I do.  They're going to eat it!

The kids and I went to Boonville this weekend.  It's been awhile since we visited.  Sarah couldn't go because she had Girl Scout meetings to attend and some other business to take care of (she's in charge of cookes!).   We took our bikes and got in lots of fun outdoor time.

Just the guys...  Elsie didn't want to ride as far as us, so she escorted Grandma on her walk.

We rode all the way out to I-70.

Nothing says "fun" like getting semi's to honk!

Later we played football.  Elsie and Owen played against each other and I played QB.

Look at those moves!

The kids worked on building a HUGE leaf pile for 3 or 4 hours.  They raked and raked.  They got out buckets and even the snow shovel.

And finally it was time to play!  They went up and down the slide into the leaves while Grandpa and I continuously raked them back into a pile.
Where's Elsie?

The Streak!

Fun times!

Owen dabbing after he scored a TD.  :)

We've had a lot of fun this fall!
