MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!
This year our Christmas celebrations started out on Dec. 23rd with the Cox Family Christmas. The kids were so happy to get a chance to open some presents before Christmas Day. I don't think they could have waited much longer. :)
| Owen worked on this most of the following day. He did almost the whole thing by himself. |
On Christmas Eve we put out Reindeer food and snacks for Santa. Then we read Twas The Night Before Christmas as a family and the kids went to bed dreaming about what surprises Santa might bring.
| A few days before Christmas Elsie passed these out (the video below is a clip of her show) |
| He came! The kids literally woke up at 5:30AM. |
| Little Elves then passed out the presents |
| There was one present to both kids that said "OPEN LAST." It had a note that sent the kids on a scavenger hunt. |
| First under Owen's pillow... |
| Then under Mr. Jazzy Pants |
| Up and down the stairs... |
| Into Millie's treats...and finally, down to the basement! |
| We got a Ping Pong table! For four nights leading up to Christmas, Sarah and I assembled the pieces so that it would go together smoothly on Christmas Eve. The kids were SO surprised! |
| The kids got Wubble Bubble's...which of course they loved. They played with them for at least a couple of hours on Christmas Day. |
On Dec. 26th we loaded up and headed to Boonville for Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Cas. Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Donnie joined us.
| More legos... :) |
| Elsie got what she asked for. She named her Madison or "Maddie." |
| She even resembles Elsie. |
Elsie's 8th Birthday!
| I can't believe that Elsie is already 8 years old. She's growing up SO fast! |
| ...and then there's this guy. :) |
Our little Elf on the Shelf, Alex, has been up to his usual hijinx. Today is Alex's last day with our family. He left a note saying that he misses Santa and his own family, so it is time for him to go. Hopefully he'll be back next year because he sure is fun!
| Owen drew this. The kids absolutely love him. |
Last, but certainly not least, a few weeks ago, Owen got Student of the Month in his class. He was SO proud of his accomplishment.
And finally, this truthful tidbit from Owen. Kids say the funniest things!
Merry Christmas to all!
Ryan, Sarah, Elsie, and Owen
