Owen's Spring Break

Last week Owen got to stay at Grandma and Grandpa Casanova's house in Boonville for his "Spring Break."  I picked him up early from preschool on Friday and we went out for lunch and then headed out.  We both brought our bikes and I went for a nice, long ride on the Katy Trail after we got there.  Owen said he didn't want to ride on the trail, but then he got brave and decided to check it out...and it's a good thing he did!

Owen did so well riding on the trail that he accompanied Grandma on a few pretty long walks.  He was VERY proud of himself and so were we.

I left Owen with Grandma and Grandpa and headed back home.  From that moment on it was "playtime" for Owen.  :)  He had a wonderful time doing all sorts of things with Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Marilyn all week.  He got to help plant garden, play in the dirt, play in the sandbox, ride in the golf cart, go to a movie, and lots of other fun things!

Back at home, we celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary.  Elsie helped us open presents and then we went out to dinner.

On Thursday evening I met Grandma and Aunt Marilyn in Odessa to pick up Owen.  He said he had SO much fun at Grandma's and he was so tired that he was going to eat dinner and then go straight to bed.  Of course he didn't, but he did sleep really well that night.  :)
