Being One

Being 1yr old is pretty cool and so far it's really fun! I've taken chasing the cat to the next level and my meals have gotten even messier! Baths have somehow gotten wetter and I have gotten much, much faster the last couple of weeks. If Mommy or Daddy leaves a tv remote or glass of water laying around, I'm on it. Did I mention that I'm also learning how to dance?

It is also hard work being 1 (as evidenced by the sweatsuit). There is so much to do and explore and there are only so many hours in the day to do it. First, there are all of the new toys from Christmas and my birthday that need to be played with. I have my own little kitchen that I am learning to use, a red wagon, sit 'n' spin, stuffed animals (including some that talk to me), laptop, puzzles, bubble lawn mower that Daddy chases me with, and enough books to keep me busy for quite some time. Mommy and I are also signed up for swimming lessons in Feb.

But it's not all hard work, and there are some neat things about being 1yr old too...

...like having enough hair to let Mommy style it!

...and sitting up on Daddy's shoulders!

Climbing up and down the stairs (with adult supervision) is pretty neat too!

I can't get enough of it!

I've also learned how to climb down off of the couch all by myself and I'm getting taller too so I can reach all kinds of things that I couldn't before...like the place mats on the dinner table that have Mommy and Daddy's dinner on them! Yup, being 1yr old is pretty sweet...
