First Steps!

It was an eventful weekend at the Casanova household. Friday evening Elsie took her first 'official' steps. She would start at the couch and go to the coffee table or from the window to her exersaucer. Then she'd get in the floor and pull up on mommy and try to take off on her own. She's still very wobbly, but she's getting it figured out. Soon I'm sure we'll be chasing her all around the house - a task we are not quite ready for... Below is a video of her taking a couple of steps on Saturday while we were watching the MU game. Go Tigers!

Sunday we took a walk down to the park and played on the swings. Elsie loves to swing! Her daddy says he likes to swing her high so that she doesn't grow up as a weenie. (Mommy doesn't have a problem with weenies.) She was letting out screams which seemed to be a mixture of excitement and terror.

Monday evening we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Cox, Aunt Becky, and Jaden. Monday was grandpa's birthday so we had a great dinner, cake and ice cream. Yummy! Elsie had fun playing with Jaden, he would build towers for her out of her stackable cups and she would knock them down as fast as he could build them.

Next weekend we're headed to St. Louis to visit some family who haven't had a chance to meet Elsie yet. We're going to Boonville on Friday then to Washington, MO to visit great grandma Kampschroeder then to Eureka, MO to see Great Aunt Laura and Great Uncle Rich. We're looking forward to the trip and will be sure to post pictures and updates next week.

Take Care!
