Blueberries

Happy Friday to everyone!

This morning Elsie and I took a little trip to Lee's Summit, she spent the morning with her Grandpa Cox and my mom and I went and picked blueberries at a spot in Lone Jack. Picking blueberries is one of my favorite things to do each year, love it. Perhaps one could guess that from the almost 16 pounds that I picked this morning!

I've already made my favorite blueberry bars, put some in the freezer, snacked on some, and shared others with friends. I plan on cooking some down for Elsie so that we can add them to her morning cereal too. I'm hoping to go pick again in several weeks :)

Not too much new with us, last Saturday evening we had dinner in Lee's Summit with some of the Cox family, lots of people that Elsie hadn't had a chance to meet yet. We had a great time with Aunt Joy, Aunt Raye, Grandma Joyce, Aunt Peggy, Grandma and Grandpa Cox, and everyone else. It took Elsie a few minutes to warm up to everyone, but she was sure to share some smiles, squeaks, and screams with everyone before the night was over. She especially got a kick out of Aunt Raye, Lisa, and Rob's little chihuahuas, they were running around the living room and Elsie was all laughs and giggles at them. It's probably one of the first times she's seen an animal who was actually smaller than she is!

No plans for this Saturday, just catching up around the house, maybe some pool time if it doesn't rain. Sunday evening we are going to my parents house to celebrate Father's Day - looking forward to that. Monday Elsie has her 6 month well baby checkup. I CANNOT believe it's been 6 months already, amazes me when I think about it...
